Sea research from climate to biodiversity

The health of our ocean, sea and coast is inextricably linked to climate and biodiversity. Our research improves understanding and enhances our ability to predict change. We explore ways to mitigate harmful impacts, and guides us towards more sustainable use and protection of our blue planet. In doing so, we aim not only to understand the ocean, but also to help safeguard its future. Each of the themes below highlights a different angle of our research.
